I am a postdoctoral research fellow associated with the NCNR (National Centre for Nuclear Robotics) project since May 2018. I am co-mentored by Dr. Gerhard Neumann and Dr. Marc Hanheide. My current work is focused on creating an augmented reality (AR) setup for telemanipulation. This AR setup will be ulitized for a learning from demonstration framework.
I completed my undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Technology) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) concentration from SASTRA University, India. Then, I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, USA for pursuing graduate degree (Systems and Control concentration) under Mechanical, Aerospace and Biomedical Engineering department of University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I was mentored by Dr. Subhadeep Chakraborty. Majority of my graduate work involved mathematical modeling of opinion propagation in a society for applying to emergency evacuation scenarios. I also worked on improving an existing learning from demonstration technique (an inverse reinforcement learning approach) for robotics application.
